MYVANWY ELLA PENNY
Myvanwy Ella Penny is at home in the world of classical music as a brilliant and expressive violinist, inspiring audiences and young talent alike with her innate musicality. An exceptional talent and in demand as a soloist, she gives concert performances with orchestras as well as appearing as a regular guest at international festivals. Her musical artistry has been documented in numerous radio broadcasts, CD recordings as well as television.
Following first performances at the age of six, Myvanwy was accepted into the Pflueger Foundation for gifted young violinists in Freiburg. The inspiring work with Professor Wolfgang Marschner, as well as Ariane Mathäus, impacted hugely on Myvanwy, forming the cornerstone for her success as a musician.
Studying with Professor Nora Chastain at the University of Arts in Berlin and graduating with First Class Honours, Myvanwy also completed a postgraduate degree as a concert soloist.
As well as a top concert performer, Myvanwy is a passionate educator, fiercely committed to developing young talent within her own violin school. In her position at the Julius-Stern-Institute for talented young musicians in Berlin, Myvanwy inspires with her dynamic manner of teaching. She has taught numerous international masterclasses and as assistant to Professor Nora Chastain.
Myvanwy performs a broad variety of repertoire. She is a passionate advocate for contemporary music and has premiered works by well-known composers including Wolfgang Marschner’s "Sonata for Violin and Viola for One Player", received with critical acclaim. Her mastery of such challenges has earned her the admiration of music critics.
