The concert will open with the Sonata in D major op.12 n.1 for violin and piano by Ludwig van Beethoven, before one of the most important cycles of his entire production and characterized by a wonderful dialectical interplay between the two instruments. Followed by the Sonata in G major by Maurice Ravel who, inspired by the technical and melodic forms of Jazz and Blues, it is his last chamber music composition. The concert will continue with the lively Sonatina in G major, Op. 100 Dvoràk, the clear imprint folksy and full of melodic ideas, ending with the famous and virtuosic Tzigane "Rapsodie de concert" by Ravel, an absolute masterpiece in which the author revisited with unprecedented sophistication timbre a nineteenth-century Hungarian rhapsody.
